Intrauterine Filling Defect

Filling defects on hysterosalpingography may be due to:
  • Air bubbles:
  • Mucus:
  • Blood clot:
  • Retained products of conception:
  • Foreign body:
  • Asherman syndrome:
  • Leiomyomas:
  • Polyps: Case shown above. Two polyps are seen at the uterine fundus on hysterosalpingography and sonohysterogram.
  • Endometrial carcinoma:
